But even so, there are some that just aren't what they say. Or so I think. This one was labeled "Struck No Collar," which kind of can't be true as it would then be a broadstrike. The diameter is 19.1 in all directions so that is out. To me it just looks like a standard old buffer coin, maybe with some fine grain sandpaper as the weight is down to 3.03g. 1977-D Lincoln Memorial cent damaged - buffer coin Report this Post to the Staff

But with most of the collection correct, a couple mistakes are okay. Why? As while sometimes they are just a buffered coin, other times they are far better errors than the label indicates.
