Weight 11.3g
Diameter 28.3 mm

I received a coin where someone has acid tested the reverse and several spots on the rim. I see a brown ring with a deep blue center. Weighs correct, sizes correct, sounds like silver. I'm stumped.

Could it be nickel? Not sure why someone would bother to produce a fake on a coin showing a grade value of about $15.

Appreciate any insight you may offer.

That is odd looking. I am glad you got the photo sorted out and I removed the other topic for you.

How do you know they're acid-test drops? I would have just assumed the black spots were caused by drops of some sulfur-containing liquid.

I don't see any reason to question that it's silver.

Hi Sap, I don't know they are acid spots. That's the dilemma.

I will go back then and update coin value and notes to show carbon spotting. Thanks all. Much appreciated.
