I asked for Every-one's opinion, not a comedic sarcastic session, LOL, Lighten up, I do not feel I "Belittled" anyone, you might have to re-look at the responses, some are very sarcastic and some are "To me" not realistic, all in all, they are just opinions, I asked you if you had 10 boxes to please sell them to me, this is not belittling. I was told by some-one that they feel the rolls are worth 3-4 dollars( their opinion) I stated that I did not think this was fair,on ebay they sell for $60.00 each, again, not belittling, also someone else decided to be very sarcastic and wrote to offer me $500.00, and I am being the hard to get along with one, I would ask you and other's to re-read the posts and see who is the Donkey!! This is all over me trying to buy some rolls from other's and trading some on this forum with other member's for other coins!!!Also if anyone else feels "I" was belittling, please let me know........

According to Coin World, it sounds like it's a 12 roll max per person for the day. I think the biggest thing about the first release was it was Lincoln's b-day, so there was some correlation to getting it stamped. I may be wrong but I don't see them being as popular as Type 1's were.

According to the Lincoln City park communications supervisor, the Mint will be selling you 6-rolls at a time, and you can re-enter the line all day, this is what she(Laura)told me, she could be wrong.....

To your respective corners, and remove the rolls from your gloves.

Are you inferring that this is an un-fair debate?

All I know is that those of us who can't afford to participate in " after market 250% markups" will not be joining "the post-frenzy" with these. Other more important things demand my "financial attention" in my life right now.......if I can't get something for an "issue price" or "face value" BU rolls with maybe a small modest fee.......then I can't afford it.....or choose not to. Everyone knows that if you are a "seller" that you want to take advantage of "the bubble" that happens when certain coins or materials are hot. Because "after" the bubble pops and interest has waned, the level of "profit" goes down. Sometimes WAAAAYYY down ! So, when you say fair price.....well.....there are several factors here to consider. Fair price while they're hot ? Fair price projected medium term ? ....long term ? Fair price to your CCF friends ? ( ) Fair price during the frenzy "bubble" to maximize your potential profits on ebay or anywhere else ? There's no way to know for sure what the 2nd design will be going for, it very well might not be as popular as the 1st design, I would think you'd be able to check ebay after this "event" and see what the stamped rolls are going for.......and there you'll have your "target". I think you felt a little insulted when one member suggested $3.00 - $4.00 a roll......but I gotta say......I know "I" would not be able to pay a whole lot more than that....even if that's $95.00 "under" market price at the time. I understand your feeling though of course and you must be shaking your head at the mere notion, but many members think that's what these will be worth once " the bubble has popped". (I hope that's not true....but I don't have a crystal ball !)....

Eaglefoot, I hope this message finds you well, 1st I totally understand your statement about the 'mark-up", I also do not appreciate the "frenzy" and craze this Cent has and is causing, that said, I do not take offense to the 3-4 dollar statement, that is an opinion and I will say I do not agree that is a "reality" price one would expect to pay, but , that is my opinion. I do get an irritation to the remark like the $500 one, but again that is also an opinion( with some added)but over all when I asked this question, I was only trying to pull-out some positive remarks from members. I do not like the prices I paid for the 2-boxes I bought from E-bay, P&D Mints, but if you want to be in it you have to either know someone or Pay, I like most do not know any-one, so I paid. I hope to be able to obtain some coins when I arrive at the park and as far as trading and selling, I am Not getting involved, I will let my son have fun, he will be joining me on the trip. I will be interested to see what he will be receiving for the rolls on E-bay, for all other's Good luck and Enjoy the Hunt.........

Quote: Good luck and Enjoy the Hunt Sometimes "the hunt" is fun !.......and a little "luck" is always useful too ! ...... I hope your son makes enough money on these from ebay to BUY A CAR !.... .....(or maybe some college tuition or something !) If you guys go through the line 8 times each and each of you get 6 rolls every time through.......and they "sell" on ebay for $100.00 per roll... 3 people = 144 rolls = $14,400.00(minus the face value cost and the ebay fees and the cost of the trip to get them as well as the cost of the Abe Lincoln Stamp on each roll) .... .... (of course, it'll be hard to get "that" many rolls and they might only sell for "half" that, or even less but.....just a nice hypothesis !... )

Well the way I look at coin prices it is a free country.
If someone sells a roll of cents for $300.00 no one is forced into paying$300.00 for that roll of cents.
Now I would never pay $300.00 for a roll of cents but if someone wants one that bad that is there $300.00 not mine so as they say to each their own.
Everyone has the right to do whatever they want this is a free country that works in both directions selling and buying. "whatever"

Morgan's Dad- The only mention of $500.00 I see was my post. I did feel belittled / annoyed at your reply. Your topic title and first post, if read by someone who was clueless actually implies that you have these rolls for sale now. Obviously, everyone on the forum is intelligent enough to know you don't really have them yet. My post was meant as a joke - if you really had a roll today, $500.00 would be far undervalued for it. IT WAS A JOKE! Not all of your jokes are funny to everyone either. Eaglefoots reply was probably the most pertinent - do you want to know a fair price to strangers on ebay, or fellow forum members? Are you looking for maximum profit, or to help out fellow collectors who can't make the trip? People were trying to answer your question with some thought and some humor, and no one deserved a snide response.

This is what I said in one of my last few posts"This is all over me trying to buy some rolls from other's and trading some on this forum with other member's for other coins" do you understand what "belittled or snide" Mean, I do not wish to exchange words with you over your mis-understanding, I was not and am not being mean, snide, or trying to "belittle" you or anyone else. You have a funny way of telling a joke, also your 1st line would indicate that I implied I had rolls, I think you were right about someone being clueless, I never said I had rolls, and if you thought I did, why did you not ask, instead of trying to be funny.....Whatever, Good luck.....
