@jpa, are you sure that isn't Machine Doubling? To me, it looks steplike and seems to be reducing the width of the letters.

If you are cropping pictures with a phone or tablet, just search YouTube for "How do I crop photos on _______?" Lots of video tutorials available out there.

If you have a desktop computer or laptop - it is much easier to crop images.
Just take the images from your phone and get them to your computer - open them in the default image viewer that Windows 10 or 11 had and use the crop function there. then you can save the cropped image AND resize if needed to get to 300K or below.
