Was looking through my old sports cards and found these. Completely forgot my grandfather gave me this set before he passed.

Before you give me the business for not posting a question. Here are some

Is there a market for these?

There was a pliable plastic cover on the coins, is it possible that this is PVC?

Yes, there is.
But it is not as ''hot'' as it was ten or fifteen years ago.

Here's a picture of that plastic cover.

It doesn't look like pvc to me.

Nice set! Generally only the 50-cent Vatican coins have been issued for circulation. This set was valued at 470 euros in a 2018 copy of the French coin magazine 'Monnaie Magazine' but the general selling price seems to be around 180 to 200 euros. They are especially sought-after in Germany and France where collecting every euro coin from 1c to 2 euros by date is very popular.

I would not and it really annoys me when people do.
