I recently received five silver coins from Morocco.
One is a 1774 Cherifian Empire dirham.
Two are Almohad Caliphate coins, one a 1/2 dirham and one is an imitation dirham by perhaps the Crown of Aragon (who knew?)
But I can't seem to find similar script patterns for this one or the next that I will put up, but I believe they are from the same stable. They both have (to me) the same script on one side recognized by what looks to the English reading eye to be Jov!.
I have tried to interpret it from the Arabic script and to me (but I am in no way experienced enough to be certain) it looks like alef L D S L which is of no help to me.
So if anyone has a hint or clue I would be most appreciative.

Thanks for the nudge jbuck. However, I should have posted that this had been solved by aws22 on the World of Coins forum.
His kind reply was:
"I found a better match for your coin which I think it fits well:
Morocco, Zaouai of Dila, Abd Allah Al-Ghalib, AR Dirham, Fas? mint (AH 965-982/1557-1574 AD)

The Zawiya Dila'iya also known as the Zawiya of Dila and the Dila'iya Sultanate, was a Sufi brotherhood, centred in the Middle Atlas range of Morocco.
Abu Muhammad 'Abd Allah al-Ghalib was the second Saadian Sultan of Morocco. He succeeded his father Mohammed al-Shaykh as Sultan of Morocco."
