PCGS XF-45 York Half Dollar - But It's Cleaned!

@Worn Out! Hello! Now I really need to sit down... that's a striking, stunningly beautiful coin.

Will you be adding it to you PCGS registry set? I had noticed that the set was "retired"... I'm not super familiar with what that means, but a coin of this caliber seems to be a definite candidate for inclusion!

Another question, if I may: where on earth did you find that one? (Please, please don't say ebay.... that would mean that I missed it.)

Thank you for sharing it! Now I'm inspired to pass on the GC coin that prompted me to start the thread and continue searching for something like yours.

@ Silver Searcher- A retired set means that it is no longer a competing set, and you can't add or delete the inventory. I will however be adding a new set in the near future. Yes the York was an ebay purchase as well as this Arkansas, also on the same submission.

All, thanks for the thoughts on the York that initially started the thread... it's always great to hear from fellow collectors when considering a big (or new, to me) kind of purchase!

Worn out, thanks for the info - really great to learn from an experienced circulated commem collector. We'll see if I make a try for this York on GC... the price would have to be great. The wait begins!
