I'm planning to attend a regional coin show soon and I would like to sell or trade a few of my coins while I'm there to fund additional purchases at the show. These coins are mostly low-value duplicates from my collection. I've never sold anything before, so this is a big step for me. Any advice on best practices for selling at a coin show?

I assume you mean you are not setting up a table but walking around the room seeing what dealers will offer. It kind of depends on what you are selling. If they are all of one type (silver dollars or Lincoln cents for example) then I try to get a few prices for the whole lot from dealers - realize they may be busy and if you have too much they may not have time to look it all up and you will get a lower offer.
If you have some variety - say foreign and US or notes, then I might try to sell batches rather than the whole lot.
Another tactic is to offer the items in trade for a purchase.
Remember - you are selling to someone who in turn will try to sell it again. Have fun!

That is correct. I don't have a table, I'm just attending the show.

Go in knowing the value of your coins.
I think you might get a better deal if you find a seller who has coins you want and do a partial trade.

This.

I have never sold any coins, to a dealer or anyone else. However, many years ago I traded a stack of CRH silver half dollars for "store credit" which I immediately used to finish off my Franklin half dollar album.

I was wondering about that. I didn't know how common of a practice this was, but I will definitely try it!

any chance of a few images of what you plan on selling?

Yes, here are the three nicest coins. These pictures are old since I hoped to upgrade them. I also have a handful of better date Wheat cents that I'll bring along.

Trading as a bulk deal for a single item would be pretty cool, you'll probably get the most bang for your buck! Just know the material that you are trading for!
