Beside designer's initials is some sort of damage, any help identifying would be appreciated.

It's a little hard to tell if this might be "struck through" something.
It's ossicle it might be PSD also.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.

Thanks everyone for yalls input, the only reason I question it being Post strike damage is you don't see any of the zinc through the copper coating as you would see in most damage

Just a guess, but looking at the other letters in one cent, it looks like PDM. It almost looks like it got run over at some time. It's hard to tell what happened. ErrorsRCool

Other than some small scratches the coin is basically immaculate hence the question of mint error.

@Basstrash92 There are a number of scratches/hits, as well as wear showing on this coin, especially on the obverse. It appears to be PMD.
