sorry I was late to respond to your post so quickly - I was sleeping. anyway  to CCF and  this is a VERY damaged (think road rash) large date copper cent. just a spender..

Sir, Please rerefer to your thread on the 83 bronze cent you claimed to have found. http://goccf.com/t/466732&whichpage=2I took time to photograph and post two coins demonstrating the difference in the eights. These photographs provided you with all the information you needed to identify this coin as a Large date.

Even with the damage you can make it out as a Large Date.

i find coins like that (roadrashed) all the time, and although most of the cents I find are zincolns, I do find some copper LMC. it's really irritating to find a LWC in that condition.
