This queen has died deterioration issues, but I'm curious about the top of the "3" in the 1938. I don't think it's PMD but maybe it is?

odd looking 3 - I would need to look at other nickels of the same date to see if there is a difference though. (I'll look when I get home)

LDS and probable PMD.

All the "3"s in the '38-'39 issues had a short top. Not very attractive IMO. By the time they got to 1943 it looked a lot better.

Reiterating what Biedercoins has told you, here is a pic of yours beside a pic from PCGS. It looks like the normal design.
