WOW just sent two rolls of quarters cost me just about $10.00 this postage is getting expensive anyone know the best way to mail rolls of coins?

I wrap rolls and tape them to cardboard then insert them in a bubble mailer. But seems once you get over one roll it starts to cost allot.

$10 is waaaay to much for a couple rolls, you need to use a small flat rate Priority Mail box provided by USPS. That costs $4.95 at the post office for up to 70lbs(although you can't fit that much in the small box, only the big one) and if you print the postage online it is $4.80 with free DC. You have to print it online by setting up a USPS personal account and it will charge the postage to a credit card. PayPal postage does not have an option for the small box, only the big one which is $9.85.

BTW, you can fit about 1500 wheaties in a small flat rate box so it is quite roomy

I usually wrap a roll or several in bond paper, then tape them to cardboard, slide the cardboard into a flat rate priority envelope and print out a postage paid shipping label.
It runs about $4.80 with tracking that way and you can put as many as ten penny rolls in a package comfortably. Reinforce the seams with packing tape. nlp

I use bubble mailers for shipping all my Coins and Banknotes. For 1 oz. it costs First Class $1.17, 2 oz. $1.34, ect. rolls are heavier but one or two rolls could probably ship for less than $4.00.

Why didn't I think of the Priority Mail Flat Rate Box?

(I did the same thing, Brucec!)
