Hi from australia :)

I have recently inherited stamps and coins from my late grandpa and have come across 2 interesting coins whilst investigation my new hobby :).

I was curious if anyone would have any idea on the grade of these coins. I have looked at recent posts and I love your thoughts and opinions and expertise.

Also what do u guys think should I get them professionally graded ?

Thank you all in advance

As stated probably not worth getting graded, above average in the F range but plenty around in similar grade.

The 1946 penny is the second-scarcest date after 1930, but it still isn't super-rare. AU$100 to $150 for this condition seems about normal for a problem free example at the moment. I'm seeing a few green flecks, so this one wouldn't qualify as "problem free".

The 1937 crown is common enough to be treated as bullion - that's about AU$37 at current rates. A dealer might sell them for $40 to $50 each.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Here is the update..

1946 penny 2 x coin professionals if u call them that not sure the correct terminology has graded the coin as EF-40 the other graded the coin as VF-20. The 2 that graded the coin as EF-40 said there is a mark/scratch on the neck however it doesn't effect the details of the grade. The other that graded the coin said they graded the coin VF because of the quality of the coin (didnt elaborate).EF value of the coin 150 - 200, VF 50 - 100

All 3 agreed on crown being valued about 50

Thank you all and SAP u were spot on my friend thank u :) also u are correct in saying the coin isn't super rare but it is definately a coin I wouldnt be saying very common or nothing special?

One happy inhertance :) def worth treasuring

Late to reply to this post, but I think neither is worth grading.
Grading should only be done for high value coins which doesn't apply here.
The 1937 crown could be EF but the volume available of these coins reduces collector value closer to bullion value. Still, a nice coin to replace a poorer quality one in someone's collection.
The 1946 penny doesn't have the quality high enough to justify grading. aUC would have to be the lowest, which this coin is not.
Spend your money on acquiring other coins for your collection.
