I know this particular coin has a DDO type. Does this one look like a legit example? These are my only pictures. Thx.

Yup. Known counterfeit.

I think the creator of this die ran off a bunch of normal strike coins and then decided to make a fake 'error' of this rare variety. I wonder how many thousands of dollars have been (and will be) lost by new collectors thinking they had a double whammy of a coin.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

From 40 Thieves. COPY is photoshopped on the image, of course.

yep, not once have I ever seen an off center 1955 doubled die - but I have seen many fakes (add one more)

There are several ways to tell real from fakes -
my go to is that the date and IGWT are rotated CCW and Liberty is rotated CW.
Also on the real one the bust is also doubled. This one is not.
