I was almost going to toss this nickel, but there was a little sliver of something peeking from beneath the filmy grime, so I plunked it into some acetone instead. Turns out that the surface haze was hiding another example of 2014-P 5c WDDR-015. This find appears to be a younger die state than the Wexler listing, with no die crack by the designer initials. The die dents above the US of Pluribus and east of the M in Unum are both present. I do rather like how the doubling cuts through the door frame and extends outside of it.

Left to right: Wexler entry, previous found coin, current CRH find.

Quite enjoyed your story of finding a new die stage for that one. Well done and nicely written up.

Thanks, guys! =)

Only two modern DDRs in this $20 hunt, but some days are just better than others. Always nice to get ones that I can clearly identify.
