Yokozuna Pillar of the Community United States 4618 Posts	Posted 07/04/2024 01:14 am I think it's a tiny spot of Zinc Rot. Not an attempted mint mark. Zinc dust or some other unwanted contamination was on the zinc core when it was copper platted. This spot has started to corrode and has raised the surface slightly. It's a common platting problem with copper plated zinc coins. ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!
