2022 D LSC error on OBV. I have found 3 examples. All appear to be from the same die. The bumps on the edge along the inside of the rim East and North East of LIBERTY are raised. . What kind of error do you think this could be. Let me know. Thanks, Frank B.

Very cool finds! They would appear to be die dents.

Here are some I have found.

Hi, thanks for that link. I believe you nailed it. I see from the link that my coin may be unique because it has four die dents. Is that common to have four die dents or most common to have one?

Die dents like yours aren't common, seem to be purely random, and they get our imagination working.
The number would probably depend on what caused them.

We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

That's really interesting! It looks like someone at the mint dropped the ball die.

Hi, I sold one a wile back for $20. Now I have two. What could have caused them or any die dent?

I suppose it could be nearly anything that is in the general vicinity of the die that was damaged. Something hard enough to create damage to the die by being dropped on it and suppose the die itself could be dropped onto something else too, to create the dent. Yours may have had bouncing involved, to create the multiple dents.

Maybe Mike Diamond will chime in to explain it beyond what he has already done on Error Ref.
