Was looking this Morgan over a little closer and was curious if anyone has come across the same type of
out-of-shape Stars on the obverse side. All 13 are distorted. Possible new VAM worth sending back to PCGS? I have the same 2021-D MS70 without any Star distortions so this one caught my attention.

Thanks for any thoughts. Mike.

With the stars I don't see enough of a difference to make a difference in terms of a mint error or VAM. I'm not aware if they're even assigning VAMS to the new Morgan/Peace. Part of it could just be lighting and photo angle. I assume any difference could be from what's called Die Deterioration or Machine Doubling, nothing special or worth any premium. Looks like there may be some doubling in the date. More in focus picks of the date and at various angles would help.

Thanks livingwater for the response. The photos were taken from my B- rated microscope :)
I also have some photos taken directly from the pcgs. I'll come back to it another time. Thank you.

Yes, I also was wondering if the new dollars are given VAM numbers - I haven't heard of any.

Thanks, good to know VAMs won't apply to the new Morgan/Peace. Which causes me to wonder, is there any database specifically for assigning error numbers to commemoratives, NCLT? I did see on Wexler they list doubled dies for Silver Eagles. I've see a few clashed Silver Eagles on ebay. Maybe eventually a modern Morgan/Peace error will be recognized. Maybe the OP could contact Wexler, send pics, ask them.
