I was going through one of the lots I recently won at an auction and found this Six Pence and was just wondering if this is a die crack or PMD?

When a die is cracked it creates a void, during striking the metal flows up into the crack. This makes the crack on the coin raised, above the surface. It looks like your area is recessed, not raised, so it's PMD at least to my eyes. But close up pics could prove me wrong. If you have a 10 power magnifier loupe use that to look.

Looks somewhat like a lamination in the photo.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

@livingwater the crack is raised, I could feel it with my nail but I agree looking at photo it does look recessed.

I will take some photos from a different angle when I get home from work.
