Looks like a lamination on a poorly cleaned coin.

I think that this is a woody and a lamination, notice how everything is flowing in the same direction.

Lamination issue, yes. Apart from the lamination feature, there appear subtle hints of a woody. Would love to examine this piece in-hand (but that wont be happening),
