high XF or low AU but from the photos it looks cleaned.

glare is not golds friend in photos. difficult to say the coin was cleaned as AU circulated gold is so soft that pretty much everything it touches leaves marks and scratches. TPG's are way more lenient on them. I've always been fascinated with the $3 and $4 stellas as they are such oddballs. I'm at AU50

for those calling ex-jewelry, I can't see anything that would point to that. what are you seeing? typically you would see some type of rim issues. I'm not seeing any rim issues on the rev. and only a very small mark at obv k-1

I think people are using "jewelry grade" to mean "cleaned". I agree that it has been cleaned, but not particularly egregious and the pictures might be making it look worse than it is. AU Details sounds about right.
