Technical grade in the VG/F range - but it is destroyed by that PMD and in my view has lost almost all of its numismatic value.

Too bad!

I believe a hit like that is something that can happen any day to any coin that's been in circulation, I don't think it looses all numismatic value (maybe if it were meant to be for jewelry I agree but not from a little scar.

Like a chop Mark. you never know how that damage happened maybe he was riding his horse to work and fell off.

bummer on a key coin

with all the damage on the obv its hard to say if the coin is F or VF. in this case it doesn't matter. the damage is so severe I doubt it has any collector value at all even given the date/mm
