Hey everyone! Hope you are doing well! I'm in Walmart right now and I need some help choosing acetone. I found this two products, can you tell me which one is better for cleaning the coins please, or are they too strong for coins? This: Or this: gigi2110

From what I can find online, both are pure acetone, so buy whatever is cheaper. From the Walmart web page, Rust-Oleum is a lot less.

To my mind, either would work well. Personally, I would purchase the quart can, easy to use & doesn't take up much space. Plus RUST-OLEUM is a well known brand of paint.

Thank you guys! Is the same price here in the store, and the cheapest one is the blue one clean strip brand, but I'm going with the one you said (Rust-Oleum)

That's the right stuff. Just be very careful with it. Don't use in an enclosed area as it is highly explosive, equally or more so than gasoline! Gloves, always a good idea as well.

Personally, I use Klean Strip. Never had an issue with it.

Thank you guys! I said I will go with Rost-Oleum, but I ended up buying the Klean-strip Another question for you. So after I finish clean my coins, what can I do with the rest of acetone? I know is very dangerous so what can I do with that? Sorry! this may be a silly question but and new using this kind of acetone, usually use the remover one for nails with cotton, and after used I just put on the trash can. But don't know what to do with this one.

I would say open windows to get a cross breeze. It does evaporate very quickly.

Pour used acetone down the sink or in the toilet then run the faucet or flush. Keep the quart can when you're done with it and re-fill it from the gallon can you buy next.
