Have I FINALLY come across an actual error coin? I have absolutely NO other explanation for what you are about to see!! Hands down the craziest thing I've ever seen on a coin!! What do you all think?

Not a massive error - just massive damage. Keep looking - you'll find one eventually.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Not an error coin, just heavily damaged. Looks like it was exposed to acid or high heat.

Either acid or lots of heat did this. Either way it's simply a damaged coin. Keep looking.

I'm thinking exposure to intense heat. The coin didn't leave the striking chamber in that condition. An accurate weight to two decimal places could tell us more.

acid trip in a parking lot and pompe remark made me laugh! You really think some jerk used acid? Just mentioned in another post that it looked like someone took a blowtorch to poor Susan B Anthony's face #128532; people are sick.....
The weight of the nicklebis 4.5 grams. Hope that helps
