Before I jam this into my proof nickel folder, is this actually a Type 2 mint mark for 1981-S?

That's a tough one for me too. I can't tell the difference just by looking at it. Even comparing pics on my PC and the dime under a microscope I can't tell.

I say type 1 , it is almost straight on the bottom serif the type 2 has a ball looking serif
