wow, an overlay here may help. That larger feature is behind the columns, not over the them. which tells me that there was damage to the die, but not a chip there.
It's hard to make anything specific out on these images. I think it would help a lot to have a normal color image taken at a normal 90 degree orientation, focused on the porch area.
