i received this 1925S merc. dime as change (sort of). a server at one of the local restaurants I go to often, saved this coin she said came out of a roll of dimes from their till. knowing that I enjoy collection coins - she saved it and gave it to my in my change. I really know very little about grading these, but the lunch cost less than $9.00, and this was part of my change. fairly good find - in my opinion. grades or values would be appreciated. thanks.

By the looks of the scan I would say VG-8 with a value of around $5. A better pic may reveal a low fine range at around $8-$10.

too much detail in the bands for G, more like VG-8 scratched, stronger obverse would bring VG-10

ShadowCreator, I'm changing my grade to match yours. I glanced at the reverse of the coin too quickly.

You should not base your grade of the reverse on the condition of the rims. Rims on Mercury dimes wear quicker on the reverse than the obverse.
