Yes, it's that time of year yet again! This year, for the first time, I decided to focus exclusively on upgrading as many of my poorer quality notes as I could afford. I brought a stack of notes that I wanted to upgrade and ended up upgrading all but one at the first currency seller's table I visited. Normally I would have shopped around, but most of the notes I wanted to upgrade I had previously purchased from this dealer over the years and he always gives me a fair price (both buying and selling). When all was said and done, I got $3000 for the notes I traded in and paid an extra $9000 for the notes I purchased. My budget was $10,000 for the show, but the trade-ins allowed me to go a little higher. And so, without further ado: Series 1886 One Dollar Silver Certificate: Series 1896 One Dollar Silver_Certificate (a.k.a. "Educational" Note): Series 1896 Five Dollar Silver_Certificate (a.k.a. "Educational" Note): Series 1918 Two Dollar National Currency (Boston): Series 1923 Five Dollar Silver Certificate ("Porthole"): Series 1934A Five Dollar Federal Reserve Note (Hawaii -- WWII Emergency Issue): [And, yes, there's a reason why I only do one show per year...]

These are all raw, I take it?

Some are raw, some are graded. I just didn't bother scanning in the grades.

All of us would benefit from seeing graded notes in their holders.
