does NOT look like a clip, this look manufactures after it left the mint.

The metal does not flow into the void, the coin is not round where the 'Blakesley effect should be but it is bulging out a bit - the collar would have prevented this from happening.
the edge image shows a cut from one side only not from both sides as would be expected from the blanking machine.

As for the Blakesley effect - above the 'M' I think I can see marks (indents) from a pair of pliers.

Looks legit to me. That 'bulge' on the opposite side is probably an optical illusion from the Blakesley effect—it looks round to me.

Yes. I think what Dearborn is seeing is an illusion from how you circle-cropped the cent.
