Hello! I have this brass Chinese 10 cash, Y#301a. I believe this type is extremely rare and possibly a pattern issue. Here's a link to to the only sale of this coin I could find: https://auctions.stacksbowers.com/l...ecure-holder

I am wondering the value of this coin? Krause does not list values for it, though mine is in poor condition it must be worth something due to its rarity. Any ideas for extra research? Thanks!

What you have looks like a contemporary counterfeit. Still looks pretty interesting.

What makes the one rare in the Stacks auction is the double border - beads and solid line.

I know little about coins like this, so if counterfeit, is that same as warlord issue?

Warlord issues are often cast instead of struck. I think it's different.

This is from a chaotic era where there's a lot of varieties and issues from different provinces.
