1975 Nickel Nmm And It Weighs 5.24 Grams. It's Supposed To Only Be 5g.any Suggestions As To Why?

Why would my nickel be .24 grams heavier than it's supposed to be. Is that normal? New to coins, have been collecting stamps for many years. I can't find anything on this topic for this coin. Couldn't say for sure, but seems something maybe on the obverse side, which appears to be wearing off of the high points. Seems to be part hazy and part shiny. Thanks, Doug.
