You can see how it's chipped compared to the other coin you posted. There could be unlisted RPM's out there, but I highly doubt you coin has an RPM. Errers and Varietys. Report this Post to the Staff

This was the last year of a mint mark punch that was used for longer than any other, sometimes referred to as "the blob" in it's last days. It was first put into use in 1941, was used on and off until 1952, then brought back into use in 1974 and used until 1979. As John1 stated, there were two different style punches used in this year. Yours is the MMS-009, the other you have shown in your last pic is the MMS-010. It is the type 1 S Mint mark (these happened in 1979 and 1981 on all coins.) some call it the 'blob' MM, but normally is is the 'filled' MM. Collecting since 1972.
