Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what was going on with this dime I found. It weighs 2.32g, thickness is 1.5mm at its thickest and 1.28mm at its smallests, and the diameter is 17.9mm. there is also some odd looking lettering on the reverse. Thanks in advance for any education you can provide.

Forgive me, it's early morning... The first two posted photos--for clarity, which is the coin in question; the thin one or the thick one?

to the CCF!

Could you weigh both coins and tell us what you find? Please list the weights as 'Thin = X.XX grams' and 'Thick = X.XX grams' for clarity.

Hello and thanks for all the replies. The one in question was the thicker one. The thicker one weighs 3.32g and the thinner one 2.27.

I think Dearborn is right. The opposing rim fins suggest that is a tilted die strike.
