I was looking for the doubling on the Y in Liberty, being the upper part of the Y,left side is thicker than the right side, I noticed what looked like a die chip on top of the Y left hand side. After blowing it up I noticed on the right side of the Y, what appears to be a hit from PMD. After looking at both of these I come to the conclusion that the Y on the right hand side took a hit and pushed the metal up to the
left hand side of the Y. I mean that piece of metal fits perfectly where it took a hit. What other chances of something like that happen, probably more than I realized. But that is so cool, yes little things excite me LOL. Which brings me to ask you, is the word Liberty extra thickness? Or is that deterioration on the die? Moving on, how about under his eye? Zinc bubble that popped? On the reverse the last banner on the left side of the shield, bottom rt looks a little chewed up. Could that be from a Grease filed die? Thank you in advance

Could be a deflated plating bubble yes.

Have you tried looking on doubleddie.com? Liberty seems thick to me. http://doubleddie.com/2318537.html

Thanks people I'll see what I can do on a closer pic on the Liberty. I mostly look on variety Vista but I think I'll start cruising around to the other side for a comparison. By the way should all the sites have the same thing on them meaning does variety Vista has the same thing as wexler as far as errors?

You need to check all three-reference sites every time, and they do vary a bit.

This is another post where I'm asked to get close up pics. Again when I blow the pictures up they are big clear so I don't understand why people keep asking me for close-up pics. Do you see opthe same thing I am?
