I think it's a large die dent but let others weigh in.

ADDED: It may even be something on the coin, a clear substance of some sort. Maybe give it an acetone bath to see if it goes away.

My initial reaction is that feature isn't a cud--is it sunken (incuse), raised, or flush with the surface?

@Coinfrog So what are you seeing? Just to let others know that may think its a Cud also. Are you seeing it as a Die Dent also?

Not a Cud. Looks like glue. Give it a soak in 100% pure acetone and see if it comes off.

Defintiely not a Cud because it is completely separated from the rim.
It doesn't appear to be raised above the surface of the field.

If it's not just something on the coin it may be incuse.

Not sure what you mean. I never said anything about an air bubble. If it's a clear substance, it could easily be solid, and the same for a die dent. You should start with acetone, in my opinion.

@makecents If you noticed I never said anything about you mentioning air/gas bubbles but I wanted to get that out of the way because sometimes it could be zinc rot that could have been causing air bubbles if I hadn't checked. We mentioned it many many times to others especially the new members and I wanted to make sure that those things were eliminated from the possibilities and it's not glue because again I've checked also it with acetone. I will just put it side for now Thanks!

Ok so I guess we can rule out Cud, next if it's raised 2 options glue or a die dent (I'm swaying towards glue) and last if it's indented (incused) could be a strike through.

Sometimes we here at CCF can't give a positive id from pictures, some problems/error on coins have to be held to determine what caused it.

Wondering how long you let it soak in acetone ?....up to and over an hour is fine for zincolns

Always good to store coins away until a greater amount of knowledge is gained...
