I found this 1977 Lincoln Penny in a pocket of change. I believe it could be a die clash of some kind. What do you all think ?

Looks like a vise job, or glue.

What attribution number did you think it might be after checking the die clash site? John1

Appears to be post-strike damage as noted above.

well this is not a clash - the lighting is bad for this image - but it loos like it was vised against another coin, maybe road rashed too.

Looks like glue. PMD. Not an error. Try soaking it in 100% pure acetone.
Errers and Varietys.

Im with E&V, this appears to be some kind of glue, and another coin was marked on it.
I have found something like that before.

Back your scope away from the coin and turn the light down on it if you can to reduce the glare.

Can see the Backwards lettering of "ONE" either vised into surface or impressed in glue. Just damage.
