The obverse and reverse look like different metals. Even the rim shows the difference. Is this a real Lamination problem? What do you see?

I know I'm still new, but on this one I have to disagree with ideas that it's just PMD. Usually I would not really have such a strong opinion. But still, thanks for all your replies. I am going to dig into this one harder.

I've seen coins like this before. The ones I've seen were laying around in a kitchen for a good while. The grease/smoke/steam or whatever else in the air and maybe some dust. The side facing up can turn a brownish, copperish, and greenish depending on the metal and contaminants.

If it is something on the surface, acetone should fix it.

A local CC told me that it could be improperly annealing. However the front doesn't look nearly the same as the back. I'm beginning to agree with environmental damage with the reverse getting the worst deal.
