I have a 1992 D Close AM and need to clean it I found it in a bowl of liquid like soda perhaps.

First - this is a WAM reverse as expected for this year & mint. Don't let the relative closeness of the AM fool you, use the other two pick up points which are TAT and FG.

If you want to remove any organic residue a soak in pure acetone is the way to go. That is the only acceptable 'cleaning' that most of us should ever perform.
