The Mint finally updated the production figures on their website, but I do wonder if these figures reflect more production in calendar year 2009, or do they finally include the 2009-dated coins made in December 2008?

Also, the new figures posted for the 5¢ and 10¢ coins may be the final
2009 mintages, because they announced that production of those is
ceased for the remainder of the year.

The 2009-D Native American dollar was listed at only 700,000 minted on
that site for several months. Since I previously estimated that "11
million" were made in December 2008 (the Denver Mint had tons of them
on January 5th 2009; I know, I got 100 of them there that day!), and the new figure given is "11.9 Million",
that's why I'm wondering....

They're certainly showing up in circ - as a cashier, I've seen one 09 cent, two DC quarters, no dimes, no nickels, and at least TEN sackies. And bear in mind, I don't even GET dollar coins as payment every day...

This is making me regret ordering the "Two Roll Set" and paying the "mark up" AND the shipping and handling.... ... ...

And if I decide to bust the rolls to put into albums.....just money wasted.
Problem.....they ARE NOT IN CIRCULATION AROUND HERE AT ALL !.... AND MY BANK WILL NOT GET ANY OF THEM THIS YEAR OR ANY OTHER YEAR !
The "direct ship" program may or may not produce "both" Mints....and I could always just "cash the extra ones in", but seems like a lot of hassle for just 4 or 6 coins P & D that I want to put into folders......

We ordered 500 at face value some time ago at work and all were D mint. Finding the P mint was the real problem.
This 2009 stuff has really been a royal pain for dealers. We're all looking for the same stuff

Honestly I wish we didn't even mess with it anymore.

It was a bit ironic that at one point the Mint reported
that 32,398 2009-D Native American dollar Mint Rolls
(that's 809,950 individual coins!) had been sold, while
the 2009-D mintage figure was still listed at 700,000.

The Philadelphia mint was also reported to have 2009-P
Native American dollars available on Jan. 5th, 2009, in
this post on Mint News Blog.
