not for sure if it supposed to have a mint mark but it doesn't, also I think it has a bad case of worn die going on... what do you think about the mint mark and the coin?

pretty much the whole coin looks like this also again no mint mark? any ideas.

Check your Red Book. There are no Nickels listed with the P mint mark till 1980. 1962 Philly Nickels don't have mint marks. Looks like the coin is also suffering Machine Doubling and deteriorated dies. This happens on Nickels more than most other coins. Because the metal content and the thickness of the planchet the dies wear quicker. Your images though show everything I need to see. So I give you an A+ on images.
