Hello everyone,
Can anybody tell me what current Trends pricing is for a George VI 1951 fifty cents graded MS66? Thanks.
Coins and Canada's online pricing guide only goes to MS65 and I can't seem to find any auction prices or anything else online.

My old Trends only goes to MS62. You can actually, usually, buy anything at a large coin show for 70% of Trends.

Who graded it MS66 ? At such high grades value does depend on whose holder it is in.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning... -from PCGS website

Heritage past sales: Jan 12, 2010 ICCS MS66 went for $322 USD Jan 4, 2010 a PCGS MS66 went for $402 USD
My guess is it's probably a $500 USD coin now.

Quote: Who graded it MS66 ? At such high grades value does depend on whose holder it is in. PCGS graded it. I'll post a photo when I get the True View image back from them. My own photo doesn't really give a good impression. It used to be in an ICCS MS64 holder from at least 15 years ago and my first thought was that it was grossly undergraded, as I cannot detect a single mark on it. I then took it out of the ICCS flip and put it in an album. Eventually I stopped album collecting and figured that I should get it recertified. I've never been a fan of ICCS - not because of their grading but because of their fragile holders, and I have a PCGS registry set going for Canadian fifty cents, hence off to PCGS it went. I was anticipating an MS65 grade. I'm aware of the ICCS vs. PCGS grading standards dichotomy in general - however in this case I think that the grade has merit (a little ownership bias there for sure). In any case it's a nice piece with end-roll toning and I like it a lot. The value information is more for the record, as opposed to needing it to sell it. 1960 NY Giants - Thanks for the older Heritage auction results. Ultimately this coin will be valued by the market when it finally comes time to sell it a decade or so from now, or when my eyesight goes - whichever comes first. Edited to add a thank you to johnnysprawl for the link to the C & C auction results page. I looked for that initially but for some reason couldn't seem to find it. And thanks to everyone else who has commented so far.

FWIW, the latest ICCS population report, which is seriously getting on in age (2016) only has 3 graded in MS-66

Very difficult to get a pricing trend when only 3 of them have been graded at MS-66.
Best thing to do is a price research only at the time you may wish to sell it, and then perhaps determine what you think may be a fair selling price.
If you have no intention to sell now, or at any time in the future, the answer to the question of value is pretty much academic.

Here is the PCGS True View photo. I adjusted the saturation and lighting slightly to get a better representation of the piece, as PCGS has trouble with their photography.
