Weight is 8 grams and it's diameter is exactly 2.5 cm. As per as orientation rotate both the images 90 degree in clockwise direction.

Ok good to know. That series of triangles looks a bit like the Lakshmi yantra, don't you think? This isn't the typical design element that we see on temple tokens, but it would fit well with a depiction of Lakshmi on the other side.

I found out one more important clue; this coin was made in tamilnadu india. Since it contains the inscription #3000;#3021;#2992;#3008; on it.
