PCGS has this merc at MS64. This coin can be the price of a decent 2nd car with FB.

What % of bands would you give this one? Thanks for all opinions!

Boy, that one is close. I'd give it a 95%. A premium coin, no doubt.

Bands appear full but not rounded. Isn't that a qualification for FSB?

The top band does not look FB, to me. The incomplete bits are small, but still not complete. Just my amateur opinion.

Pretty nice coin. I'd say it's pretty close to FB's.

Oh my goodness. Calling that not FB is incredibly picky. I'm sure you could go through the 1940-1945 TrueView images and find two dozen FB Mercs with bands with bigger dings. That seems like one where if you submitted to a different grader on a different day, it would be FB on the slab.

I seem to recall that the 1945-P Merc is one of the toughest in the entire series to find in a TPG holder with the FSB designation.

PCGS price guide list for the 1945 P in FB is -

MS63FB - $10,000
MS64FB - $15,000
MS65FB - $19,000
MS66FB - $27,500
MS67FB - $65,000

I can't afford any of those, so I'm fine with my $30 oh-so-close special.
