Maybe play with the lighting (clashes like to hide in the shadows sometimes) and try some black and white pics that John1 suggested. Given that the parallel lines appear behind the head, across the head, and as far down as the bow tie makes me think it's either roller lines or some kind of contamination streaks that produced plating bubbles.
