These BU coins are so hard to photograph.
Let me know what you think this one will grade.
Thanks

Mike

I'm going to say this would grade at least PR-63, fantastic looking coin.

That Franklin is not BU, it is a proof.
The pics are not ideal but it looks like there are a few spots and a couple scattered hairlines so PR-63 is about as good as I can go right now(grade might rise with better pics). Also, why is it pink? Bad lighting or is it some kind of toning?

I love the look of this coin, very strong strike, good flow lines, for this year, very sweet. I would think that your pictures could be better( mine are worse)LOL, that said I believe the "marks and spots" are just surface blemishes, I would see this coin in at least PR-65, could be higher, if the coin was carefully restored and photographed again, just my opinion, thanks for sharing

Thanks for the replies. The coin came from what I thought was a mint set pack. Where the proof sets packaged the same way? I will try some different lighting to improve the photos.
Thanks again

Mike

Yes, 1956-1964 proof sets were soft packs like the Mint Sets and pre-1955 sets were individually packaged in a box(1955 had both sets).

I do not really collect the classic sets but I am currently collecting the Silver Sets(since 2002, I missed out on 1999 and 2001)

I did too, but I scored an awesome deal for 10 years [1999-2008], plus an extra error set for $859USD, from a buy in Cheyenne Wyoming- a part of the country that I just love to death for the ambiance [cow patties, Road_Apples and all] and scenery.
Rest in Peace

I'll venture a guess of PF-64, maybe PF-65
