Hi all I found this penny in a roll I got from the bank looks odd center but my question is how much off center and is the mint mark supposed to be that close to the date? All the other ones is see the mint mark is farther away. Just curious for personal reference ty in advance

Looks like a MAD and the MM looks pretty normal.

Agree, a nice example of a misaligned die.

I'll go with a dual MAD Strike, with the reverse a very minor one in a slightly different direction from the obverse.

Nice MAD — but not unusual for that era to see the mintmark that high.

Back when they were still punching MMs into the die, the only requirement was that they were punched below the date and to the east of the coat. A lot of variances.
