Hi everyone, Its not everyday you find someone who has a very similar and rare coin as you do (or a medallion as some have suggested).
I too want to identify this item/coin., I am curious to understand the history. (if anyone should know).?

The coin is very unique, however, there is one others which has been found (as evidence of this forum), and therefore, I am interested to learn as much as we can about it if possible?

This item was found in 1950-51 in Alexandria Egypt during the renovation of a home (it was un earthed as a result of the construction work). The weight is approx. 18 grams. Gold

Thanks for any feedback from anyone who might have insights.

@m01, first welcome to CCF. Second, as best practice is to avoid reanimating old threads, I have split your post off from that earlier thread. You are right though that the similarities between your piece and the previous one are striking, so folks may want to go back and review that conversation here:

I think that we had netted out that it wasn't a coin, but hadn't really figured out what it was.

These are not coins, but astrological charms. As I stated in the earlier thread, the stars around the scorpion indicate the intent to mean the constellation Scorpio, rather than an actual scorpion.
