This may be beyond hope too.

It weighs 9.0 grams and has a diameter of about 25 mm. On the obverse there is some faint lettering but that is it. On the reverse I am not sure what that is, and I am not sure if I even have the right orientation. Flipped over it might be an altar of some sort.

Wow! Another interesting find. I do hope someone can pin this one down along with the other.

Reverse may be Mount Argaeus upon an altar. Recommend checking Caesarea, Cappadocia.

Thanks. I'll check those possibilities.

Not sure if these links will work, but based on the profile shape, here's a search on the type with "Gordian" in the terms:

And an another search with "Elagabalus" in the terms:

Based on the faint outlines of some letters, I think that I can see a Gordianus.

Reverse should be rotated left 90 degrees, then looks like Cappadocia caesaria Gordian with ETC on the reverse bottom.

Thanks! It does appear to be a match for Tanman's suggestion. I must say that I'm impressed what you can pull off with this near wreck of a coin.
