Hello Friends, Hope you all are having a grteat weekend. Wanted to show you this 1878-CC Morgan which I think is a solid MS64 but wanted to check if it has any chance of a 65 at all? Please share your thoughts and thanks for all your valuable inputs.

It looks like an 1878-CC VAM-9 and it looks around MS-63 maybe 64 http://www.vamworld.com/wiki/1878-CC_VAM-9

This coin is 100% real and uncleanned. Had the coin in hand now submitted to NGC... Just curious on people thoughts on the grade...

Nice luster! The only concern is the lower cheek. Hard to see what's going on there, but that might hold it to a 63. Any way to get a sharper view of that area?

The fields look very clean but the area to the right of the mouth and chin have hits that will hold it back from gem. They are just very visibly located. I agree with 64 given that there seem to be no other visible hits elsewhere.

While I agree it's a solid 63 with a shot at 64 but examples like the below PCGS graded coin makes me day dream of a 65 :-)

That image shows few shallow marks, nothing deep. Although the chatter quantity may be similar, your coin has deeper cuts which hurt the grade. MS-64 tops.

If you would categorize that contact mark as "huge" you haven't looked at enough Morgan dollars.
