1982 D Small Date Penny & Possible Wrong Planchet?

The back of the coin is so shiny like a proof coin but a tinted color. The front of the coin looks like it is worn out but has a lot of silver color and brownish orange.

Am I holding something rare or keep dreaming?

When suspecting an off-metal or wrong planchet always weight it.

Looks like a 2.5 gram to me.
It is a spender IMHO.

Looks to be a zinc planchet.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.

Looks like it has that bad plated zinc surface. Could have been a "cup holder" coin and the shiny side had sugary liquids spilled on it
